FAQ
Q: What events can you play for?:
A: Weddings, Receptions, Dinners, Rehearsal Dinners, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Funeral Ceremonies, Special Church Services, other Religious Events, Social Events, Holiday Parties, Society Teas, Baby Showers, Society Receptions, Banquets, Business Events, Office Parties, Corporate Functions, Retirement Parties, or anything else you desire.
Q: How will The Eden Ensemble fit into a Wedding celebration?
A: The sound of live classical music is calming, romantic and elegant. Whether your event is an intimate gathering or a large event, classical music will create a relaxing atmosphere throughout your special day. The Eden Ensemble will make an impression that will last long after the Wedding celebration is over.
Q: What group or ensemble would better serve my needs?
A: The Duo is most effective in an intimate setting with few people. The trio could be heard in a room with about 75 guests. If you have more than 100 guests a quartet or larger ensemble is recommended.
Q: Do I need classical music for my dinner or cocktail hour?
A: Following the ceremony, the mood can quickly change for the reception with festive, light, romantic music as people have their first refreshments. Quieter musical selections are nice as people eat and converse at dinner.
Q: Do I need to select music for my dinner or cocktail hour?
A: Generally, you don't. We are very sensitive to the ambiance. We can adapt our style from classical, tojazz, to Broadway, to Latin, or popular. If you would like to choose some or all of the music for the cocktail hour or dinner, feel free to do so and we will be happy to accommodate you. Also, don't forget that we offer Special Requests Services. We will be happy to perform a special song or piece, regardless of its genre providing we are given enough time to find and arrange the music.
Q: How do I select music if I don't know much about it?
A: Think about the mood and tone you want to set: joyous, uplifting, quiet, reflective, or a little of each as the celebration unfolds. Our Repertoire is vast and varies from the early Baroque to Contemporary Love Songs, and everything in between.
Q: Where does the Ensemble Sit?
A: We usually sit near the altar, the bar, or buffet table. It is ideal to be centrally located so your whole party can hear us, not just one end of the hall.
Q: What does the Ensemble Wear?
A: The men will wear dark suits and the women will be in dressy clothes, usually all black or black and white. We also offer the option of wearing tuxedos.
Q: What does Ensemble need on the day of the event?
A: We need chairs and adequate lighting if we are playing indoors. We need a place to hide our cases and bags. We only use amplification for the guitar solo and guitar and flute duo. For the other groups we don't use amplification.
